This show features open and honest conversations with host, Austin Langley. This week on the podcast we have a member of South Broadway royalty, the only Denver comic with over 60 albums and Kennedy of the Baker Neighborhood, Mike Coppolino. Once Mike is able to "find his voice", we learn why Wednesday is the official time for toad licking, and the importance of measuring your doors correctly, if at all. Mike tells us about his origins in Radio, being raised by a scientist and we do a few commercials for Mike's future and past businesses. When Mike begins his Clown Agency commercial, something happens to Mike, and he breaks in a way Austin and Evan couldn't have imagined. We dive into the trauma clearly instilled into Mike; Coke, Clowns, and constant harassment. With a history of pimping clowns, performing close to piers and breaking into abandoned places with homeless people, Mike is full of wisdom and experience. Austin asks about young Mike, and he explains his early life in southern California living with punk bands and developing his New York attitude. Mike loves music (some repetitive, some not), but he takes through the 80's San Diego punk scene, also he shares his dreams of someday being on a cruise and we end with him doing the cleverest of plugs for his upcoming dates. Mike Coppolino is a man, myth and legend all wrapped up into one. We did our best to capture this human in the form of a podcast. Guests on the show are encouraged to be genuine, while no subject is off the table. It is a judgment free space to talk about those subjects that aren't normally discussed in everyday life. Guests open up about those stories and personal experiences that maybe they haven't shared before or would like to get off their chest. The goal is to be unrestricted and transparent.
