A good place to start is in book, The Wealth of Nations, which was published in 1776 by the Scottish economist and moral philosopher, Adam Smith. It is a fundamental piece of economic theory that introduced the concept of free-market economics. Obviously, not a perfect theory of everything economics, but for it's place in history, extremely influential, and for the purposes of this podcast... very boring.
