Daniel Abella, director of the Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival, joins us again to talk about the changes and growth the festival has seen over the past year, including new screening venues and a wider global participation in films both true to PKD's visions and new science fiction themes for a new generation.
The festival is scheduled for January 14-17, 2016, with various short film blocks and feature film screenings to be held at the Village East Cinema (181-189 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003). There will also be several special events held at the Lovecraft Bar NYC (50 Avenue B, New York, NY 10009). Several of the featured films boast stars from the original Blade Runner, including Edward James Olmos and Rutger Hauer.
Next, Noah and Daren have a review of The Revenant, and voice their opinions on how much like a comic book this movie was, while being directed by someone who has voiced a personal dislike for comic book movies.
