A wife has been accused of stabbing herself in the vagina after killing her husband in a fake self-defence bid.
Linda Doyle admitted shooting her husband James at around 10pm on July 30, 2019.
She claims that the 71-year-old stabbed her multiple times in her genitals and stomach as she slept in their Foley, Alabama home.
Prosecutors say her injuries were self-inflicted and that it was all a ploy to get away with murder.
On the night of her husband's death Doyle, 66, called 911 and said they had gotten into a fight, investigators told WKRG.
When police officers arrived they found the married couple laying sprawled across the floor of their home.
A mother who was killed in a suspected triple murder and whose body was dumped in woods was facing prison for drug dealing, a court heard.
A lodger murdered and chopped up a pensioner and then fed parts of his body to badgers, a court heard.
Daniel Walsh, 30, allegedly took a taxi to DIY shops to buy two handsaws used to dismember 71-year-old Graham Snell.
Walsh is accused of shoving Mr Snell's remains in a badger den and burying his head, arms and legs in woodland in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Jurors were told he then stole money from Mr Snell - who had gone to the police to complain about Walsh - and used the cash at a massage parlour and casino, DerbyshireLive reports.
Mr Snell's remains were recovered, but experts failed to determine the cause of death "because there were so many body parts", Derby Crown Court was told.

On 27 November 2000, Taylor set off from Peckham Library, south London, at 4:51 pm to walk home. He was captured on CCTV as he walked away. On approaching the North Peckham Estate he received a gash to his left thigh, severing an artery. Staggering to a stairwell, he collapsed and bled to near death in approximately 30 minutes. He was still alive in an ambulance on his way to hospital.
Different forensic scientists presented different events that could have given Taylor his fatal wounds.[citation needed] The theory accepted by the Metropolitan Police is that he was attacked and fell on a broken bottle, later bleeding to death.[citation needed] He died 10 days before his 11th birthday.
