  • moss side double murder

There were 300 people at the Moss Side lockdown party that ended in two men being murdered - police have a prime suspect, but need witnesses to 'do the right thing, The gunman who shot dead Cheriff Tall, 21, and Abayomi Ajose, 36, is still on the run. Police investigating a shocking double murder at a Moss Side lockdown party have identified a prime suspect - but they still need witnesses to bring him to justice.

A gunman blasted Cheriff Tall, 21, and Abayomi Ajose, 36, in the head at a rowdy lockdown party in a car park off Caythorpe Street just before 1am on June 21.

It is believed Mr Ajose, a support worker and father of three, stepped in to help Mr Tall, who had ambitions to become a pilot or join the army, when he became involved in an argument with the gunman.

Both victims were shot at close range in the head. The gunman is on the run.

Even though there were 300 people at the party around midnight - a clear breach of lockdown rules - no witnesses who are willing to give evidence in court have yet come forward.

  • Shamima Begum isis bride

Shamima Begum (born 1999) is a British-born woman who left the UK aged 15,[2] to join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Syria. Her intention to return to the UK in 2019 resulted in a public debate about the handling of returning jihadists. In February 2019, the British government issued an order revoking her British citizenship[3] and later clarified that she would never be allowed to return.[4] In July 2020, however, the Court of Appeal ruled that Begum should be permitted to return to the UK, so that she could fairly contest this decision by instructing lawyers properly.[5] This ruling is subject to appeal to the Supreme Court.[5]

  • Christopher Kapessa, black boy pushed in the river by white boys

Christopher Kapessa was a Welsh boy who died at the age of 13 in the River Cynon on 1 July 2019 According to Kapessa's family and their representatives, the police investigation into the incident lasted around two days, the event declared "an accident" within 24 hours. A fortnight later, anti-racist charity The Monitoring Group submitted a complaint to South Wales Police on behalf of Kapessa's mother Alina Joseph, alleging racial discrimination in the police response. In February 2020, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reported that there was "sufficient evidence" but not "public interest" for a manslaughter case against a child suspected to have pushed Kapessa into the river.

Joseph has criticised the South Wales Police as "institutionally racist". The local community in Wales and internet crowdfunding have provided money to the family, which supports their legal fees. In June 2020, the subject received attention as part of the Black Lives Matter movement
