Sloane  was born and raised in west Texas. He grew up hunting and fishing, but  as he got older he began spending less and less time in the outdoors as  he developed a life threatening heroin addiction. After several trips to  rehab and a few overdoses later, Sloane found himself recovering in the  mountains of Colorado. He believes hunting and fishing played an  integral part of his sobriety, and he's now turned it into a career.
