News and Topical Issue. The European Green Deal, an ambitious European plan for a green transition of European Union policies, affects many areas, building and renovating being one of them. The Slovak association Buildings for the Future, or Budovy pre budúcnosť, is trying to shape public policies by promoting a high quality of construction and renovation of buildings. Listen to our interview with its director, Katarína Nikodemová. The second day of the second week of the second month marks Safer Internet Day. On that occasion we discussed the possibilities of data protection in the Age of the Internet with a cyber-security specialist Chris Wilke. How green are the electoral programmes of Slovak political parties before the parliamentary elections on 29 February? What has the second week of the murder trial in the case of journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee Martina Kusnirova shown about the current state of the Slovak society?Last year two of Bratislava's borroughs introduced differentiated fees for kindergartens based on the type of residency of children and/or their parents with those not having permanent residency in the borrough having to pay higher fees. As the law does not allow some foreigners to have permanent residency in Slovakia for a certain number of years, is this measure discriminatory against them?
