Fiats from The Upside Down, inappropriate coffee cups, putting out literal fires, and writing poems about poetry! This chapter is meta, manic, and maniacal.

Settling into new jobs, old struggles reemerge. Dan pull out an old piece from days when poetry first infected his blood. Adair helps him find his footing with the new juggling of responsibilities and creating new art. 

Adair is sick, Dan got hired, and they get on topic eventually.

Chapter four is a turning point in this collaborative process. The nature of entertainment is to grow and move on to the next level, and as such these two are casting themselves in the movie version of their lives.

The "writers" continue drinking, waxing poetics, challenging each other.

This week, Adair and Dan outline their writing plans for November. Stories and advice from other writers (including this gem from John Irving on the podcast What It Takes) are exchanged and West World theories are are proposed and dashed.
