Lately, the world feels heavy — lots of dark news, and not much room to breathe.
This episode started from a simple conversation: “People are kind of harsh these days, huh?”

We dug into some of the reasons why — from the lingering mental health effects of the pandemic and rising feelings of loneliness, to economic struggles, soaring rice prices, and shifts in the media landscape. We’re not experts, but we tried to explore and reflect in our own way.

There aren’t any clear answers, but this episode is full of honest thoughts and emotions about how we want to live and think in these changing times.

English Episode 11: Finishing Ishigaki Triathlon 2025

Tatsu actually finished the Ishigaki Island Triathlon, one of his Misogi for the year!

He even spent his birthday alone in Ishigaki Island for the competition. And it sounds like the race day was really tough with the bad weather.

Despite all that, it's great to hear that Tatsu managed to stay positive and take on the challenge.

He shared a lot about what he felt during the race, how he prepared beforehand, and even some recent personal growth he's been feeling.

21歳のときに単身ニューヨークに渡り、実家である勝山酒造の輸出事業を開始し25カ国に輸出。東京大学経済学部在学中に起業中退し、世界初にして唯一の日本酒自家醸造キットブランド“MiCURA（マイクラ）”を開発し、海外向けに販売を行う。高校（仙台二高）では理系で物理・化学履修、国際利酒師（英語）、清酒醸造の技術幹部養成研修修了。 北米酒蔵同業組合(SBANA）所属。2022年~2023年毎日新聞リファラバの経営者トークイベント共同司会。日英中トリリンガルで、2021年から現在に至るまで台湾の長庚大学にて清酒醸造授業の講師を務めてている。地元仙台にて勝花藏株式会社を設立し、2024年春に仙台駅構内で斬新なコンセプトの都市型マイクロブルワリー『SENDAI STATION BREWERY Fermenteria』を開業。人間のセンスと科学の狭間に存在する芸術品である日本酒を愛してるが、実は酒が弱い
