Small Camera, Big Picture

At what point does a photograph become more than a photo? Bob Coates and I chat about intersecting photography with fine art paintings, what it means to be a Certified Professional Photographer and a whole lot more.

It's easy to love photography but it's also easy to make mental roadblocks that will hold you up. Things like the type of photography you consume and your drive to make your best work can set you up to be an unstoppable creative or can stop you in you tracks.

For this episode of Creator's Path I'm talking with longtime friend, mentor, master photographer and all around super awesome guy, Dan Vermillion.

We're told to specialize but the truth is we all do many things. If the role we play in our profession is not necessarily who we are then who are we? Are we bastardizing other arts if the era of specializing is over or have we all become new media artists that have a particular speciality? I sit down with my friend John Huber and try figure this out. Plus we chat about personal branding and being a professional Yo yo artist. That was not a typo.

Do you really need to live in a larger market to make a living as an artist? As we move along our path as creators one of the many things we stress over is location. As if on autopilot it's crammed in our heads, "Location, location, location!" or something like that. In this episode of Creator's Path I cant with the Fortoul Brothers about the importance of location, collaboration between brothers and where inspiration comes from.

Host Giulio Sciorio talks about the concept of carrying less to create more, removing barriers to creating and finding ones true self.

Matt & Travis talk about their path, being a creative professional and when to chill for a few.

The mission of Creator's Path and how it came to be.
