Small Town World

The god (little g) of self. We are in a self-obsessed society. We dive into what self-identity looks like in our world today.  We discuss where the world (aka Satan) would like for identity to trend toward.  The current toxic culture of "self" pushes no personal responsibility and a victimhood mentality. In part one of the SELF episodes, we focus on the current climate of self and next week we will look at our identity in Christ.

We are bombarded with information on a daily basis.  We discuss gaining the discernment needed to weed through the vast amount of information that's available to us in the present age.

Special Guest Elizabeth Williams shares about being set apart as a Christian and her thoughts on the cultural shift of the Christian Church. She opens up about the movements we discussed last week and we highlight a few points that we missed on the last episode. (And that verse I misquoted and couldn't find, Ephesians 2:8-9)

The Progressive movement is coming to a theatre near you ( or a podcast or a Bible study or a YouTube channel). Be aware that this movement is out there and it's infiltrating Evangelical Christian churches. What's more disturbing is that many prominent church leaders have joined this movement.  Join us as we discuss what we are learning about Emergence and Progressivism.

How do you spot a con artist? What tactics can you use to fight off the enemy that has you in his sights and is prepared to attack your weaknesses? Remember that you have an enemy who is after every good thing in your life.  Let's see some of those tactics being used. Be on guard.

We continue our discussion into freedom, both physical and spiritual freedom. We share some personal experiences. Please refer to our Small Town World Facebook page for scripture references and notes on the podcast from Kayla! Thank you so much for the encouragement that all of you have sent our way. If you enjoy this and it is speaking to you, please give us a review on your podcast app! This helps us move up in rankings and reach more people.

God is a God of Freedom!! Loss of freedom is the work of Satan.  Loss of freedoms ARE the work of Satan. Listen to God's word about freedom. Let it be the standard that guides your thoughts & views on true freedom.

We couldn't contain it! There is so much more to say about truth. Truth and freedom are being so viciously being attacked by the enemy, that they will both come up again & again throughout our work to fight him. We hope these truths bring some light to what you are hearing from culture & the world aka Satan.

Hold on! We speak truth right here! Buckle up and get ready to take notes. What does God's word say about some of the LIES of the enemy? What about everything that we are being fed by the world?  Let's find out.

In this episode, we explore what are essentials to the Christian faith. These beliefs are simply from our perspective but based on Biblical truth. We named ten that we deem "essential". They are simple, beautiful truths from God's Word. It's our prayer, that these core foundations of what we believe will allow the audience to build trust with us and go on this journey of growth with us, in confidence.
