Dr Aloke Kumar is an Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He did his B.Tech and M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur. He also has a Ph.D. from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA.
He has been a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, USA, an Assistant Professor at University of Alberta, Canada and Staff Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA.
