So Do We Still Like This?

It's three people on one mic as Rob and Drea join me for a candy chat! We talk about the candy we used to like and eat it live on the air. Are Gushers still disgusting? Can Fun Dip expire? How does trick or treating work in England? What's up with Rob and police helicopters? Only one way to find out! I think I already used that line in a previous episode. I'd go back and check but who has the time?

Why is the Halloween timeline so confusing? What year did Super Mario Bros 3 come out? Is Dash Rendar canon now? Those don't seem like questions that should be answered in an episode about the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street NES game but they are! Plus more! Curtis joins me for the start of our Halloween themed October and our longest episode yet! Come take some deep dives into some horror franchises and enjoy the return of my sick voice since this was recorded weeks ago!

It's our first video game episode as Rob and I look at five sports games from the early days of the Nintendo Entertainment System - Baseball, Tennis, Soccer, Pro Wrestling and Ice Hockey. You'll find out how they hold up today and Rob drops all kinds of sports knowledge on us while I mostly just list athletes whose name I know. Sports!!

I power through some sickness and welcome a new co-host to the roster as Sam joins me to discuss the Lizzie McGuire TV Series. Does a 2001 show aimed at pre-teen girls hold up for a dude in his thirties? Only one way to find out! Plus way more Aaron Carter talk than likely any other podcast released this week! ...unless Aaron Carter has a podcast. Which he very well might. But top five for sure!

I'm joined by a new co-host (we are building up our roster), Drea, to discuss the 1960's comedy Get Smart. We do discuss the show but we also touch on many other important subjects, such as the evolution of comedy, the death of nostalgia, and perhaps most importantly, who is the sexiest Chris in Hollywood

Rob joins me once again to discuss something from his childhood - Spy File. It's a weird file folder thing that taught kids how to be terrible spies by staring at people on the bus, wearing masks that don't resemble human faces and keeping detailed notes about their favourite albums and spy films. See pics on our website (http://www.entertainmentfordays.com/new-blog-1/2018/9/9/dmft72gfif6vto05r8jfue0b9uspgn) and follow along at home!

Episode 3 fills in a rare gap in my Disney movie viewing - 1998's Mulan. Wife and I take a look and discuss the history of murder in Disney films, horse fights, and why Shrek ruined a lot of this movie's impact.

Episode 2 tackles 3 Ninjas, a movie from 1992 that my parents probably spent a small fortune renting for me from the local video store. I'm joined by Rob who had never heard of the movie until days before recording this podcast. Please join us and find out whether 26 years later this movie still packs a punch. ...Get it? Cuz ninjas sometimes punch guys. Guys I'm totally crushing this whole episode description thing.

It's the first episode of So Do We Still Like This and we watched the Canadian cartoon the Smoggies. I have no affinity for it whatsoever but my wife was a big fan so we sat down to take a look and ask all kinds of important questions, including: what the hell is a Suntot? Who is that guy? Why does the Princess look like that? And so much more!
