In this episode of Sooner State of Mind, stoke levels are rising. Brent Venables has completed his coaching staff for the 2025 season with the additions of Nate Dreiling and Wes Goodwin. Even with six current or former defensive coordinators on the staff, it will be Brent Venables who calls the plays for the Sooners on defense this upcoming season. We also take a quick look back at both the East/West Shrine Bowl and Reese's Senior Bowl. Billy Bowman had a huge week of practice leading up to the game, will it be enough to elevate his draft stock? Speaking of draft stock, we know for certain that more than one Sooner will be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy for the Super Bowl champs at the end of the big game. For the third consecutive year, the Sooners will have the most players from any college program on active rosters for the Super Bowl. There are a total of eight former Sooners representing the Kansas City Chiefs or the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. We also check in with BetOnline to give you some of the craziest prop bets available for this weekend's big game.
