It is fair to say that today's guest has not followed traditional paths. She was a single mum with 2 children in her early 20s, she did a degree after having her children and became a teacher. Once the children left home, she moved to New Zealand and unfortunately became ill quite soon after, resulting in open heart surgery in her 40s and longer-term ill-health. Ultimately, this led to her having to change career. She has gone from teaching to proof-reading to editing to writing.

She is now writing her 5th novel under her pen name of Stella Court.
