So, What‘s the Problem? episodes

  • Bonus: Bloopers and Outtakes
A bonus episode where you will find conversations about the Home Alone franchise and Carrie, an instance where Owen has to leave briefly to answer a knock at his front door, me defending the storytelling in a franchise I don't even really like much and another of my guests telling us what their favourite pilot of all time is. Oh and there is my f-bomb laden tirade against a certain high profile video hosting site among other things. Jimmy Brown's views are his own and really should be ignored. Seriously, f**k that guy, what does he know? Contains strong language, which makes the censoring that last sentence particularity weird...

  • Korgoth of Barbaria (2006)
Owen returns to talk about the very violent Adult Swim animated pilot Korgoth of Barbaria. We talk about the animation, the voice cast, the kick-ass music and disagree about what the show may have become if it got renewed. This is one of those rare pilots that, although it never got picked up, still gets shown occasionally and as recent as January 2019. Enjoy as I get a bit lost for words at a certain plot development.

  • Bonus: Buffy The Animated Series
Jen from the Pilot Inspectors podcast joins me to talk about the animated demo/pilot for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. We talk about why it didn't get picked up as well as the cast who return, the ones who don't and the animation style. It's under 4 minutes long, so I thought this would make for a good bonus episode. Contains strong language and spoilers for Buffy (including the season 8 comics) and the finale of Angel, sorry. End music: Buffy Theme by Nerf Herder, covered by Epic Trailer Music UK

  • Shivers (1989)
During our Coming to America episode, I told Tysto that it aired on the same night as a pilot called Shivers and that I would cover it eventually. Well, just over a year later, here we are! Was it worth the wait? What do you think? It's basically a Beetlejuice rip-off and there is so little to talk about, we end up looking through the cast's entries on IMBD to find something, anything interesting. Then I pad it out with music at the end, enjoy!

  • Bonus: Baffled Remastered
Last year, Tysto and I recorded an episode for the 1970s supernatural thriller Baffled starring Leonard Nimoy. It was so long, I released it as two parts but here it is as one long-ass episode. So, you can enjoy Tysto's descent into madness in all it's glory, mistakes, tangents, overused running gags and all. It's extended too, with bits that were previously edited out and it contains strong language.

  • Adventures in Babysitting (1989)
Jimmy is joined by writer and co-host of the Fallacious Trump podcast, Jim Cliff to talk about Adventures in Babysitting (1989) the sit-com adaptation to the movie of the same name. It is a very slight pilot and gives them little to chat about other than the cast and the similarities to the film but apart from that it's a load of nothing. They have a good chat, though, so enjoy! Contains strong language.

  • Legally Blonde (2003)
I am joined in the studio by Lisa Smith, a fan of (some) movies and (most) TV who just so happens to be my younger sister to chat about Legally Blonde (2003). It's a crappy 20 minute remake of the 2001 film, a film Lisa loves. We talk the differences between movie and pilot and Lisa takes a disliking to this interpretation of Elle Woods. We are using the same microphone, so the sound may not always be perfect but it's a lesson to learn for next time.

  • Bonus: Coming to America (Remastered)
Sorry, folks, it's a re-run, however, it's a re-edited version of our second episode, Coming to America. It flows better and has less background noise, so it's automatically 53% better. Also, a wee bonus segment where Martin explains what his favourite picked up pilot is.

  • The Ghost Writer (1990)
Tysto joins Jimmy to chat about the rather odd sit-com The Ghost Writer (1990). It stars Anthony Perkins as a writer with a new family who discovers his previously alive wife disapproves... Jimmy loves the theatrically of it all and misses when multi-camera sit-coms had big sets and special effects but agrees that the story is lacking. Tysto is just baffled...
