Soap Opera Digests Meredith Berlin, Lynn Leahey and Stephanie Sloane sat down for an interview in The Locher Room to look back at their time helming one of the most popular magazines to ever hit the newsstands.

Meredith Berlin began her stint at the magazine as a Features Writer before she was made Editor in Chief in 1981 making her the youngest Editor-in-Chief of a magazine in the country at that time. Lynn Leahey got her dream job in 1994 and worked at SOD for 27 years; 11 of those as Editorial Director.

Stephanie Sloane also got her dream job right out of college in 1990 when Meredith and Lynn hired her to be their assistant. After a 33-year run, Stephanie exited as VP, Editorial Director in October 2023 when the print edition of the magazine folded.

For 48 years, Soap Opera Digest was the go-to magazine for all daytime fans to read and learn more about their favorite storylines, actors, characters, and behind-the-scenes scoop. Bedrooms, closets, basements, garages and storage units are lined with issues of this magazine.
