Socialism is becoming front and center in the United States. The Democratic Party is vying with candidates from the Democratic Socialists of America within its ranks. And Republicans are now planning to use this as a key talking point in the coming midterm campaigns.

Also, in other news, New York City just held a very contentious mayoral election—and this became a national focus, mainly over the Democratic candidates. It could signal whether the party leans toward more centrist platforms, or whether it goes further left with candidates linked to Democratic Socialists of America.
