This week we are joined by Aaron Renn of themasculinist.com We discuss his contact with New Calvinism and his view on the New Calvinists as a cultural critic. This is part 1 of our conversation and next week we will discuss issues related to his work with The Masculinist.

Dr. A. Craig Troxel is the Professor of Practical Theology at Westminster Seminary California in Escondido, CA.

He is an ordained minister in the OPC (Orthodox Presbyterian Church) and served as a full-time minister of the gospel for 2 congregations spanning 25 years.  He took up the call at Westminster Seminary in 2019, in order to train other members to faithfully proclaim the gospel, and actively serves in local NAPARC (North American Presbyterian and Reformed Churches) churches. His interests lie in Puritan experiential preaching, systematic theology, and ecclesiology (the study of the Church), as well as equipping future ministers of the word. He’s written many articles on the church, and a couple of books focusing on the heart.

Join us as Dr. Troxel discusses the relationship between head and heart knowledge, preaching the gospel versus moralism, and the believer’s assurance in Christ.

Adonis Vidu (Ph.D., University of Nottingham) is professor of theology at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, came to Gordon-Conwell from his native Romania, where he previously taught at Emmanuel University and the University of Bucharest.

He is a constructive theologian who is involved in a recovery of the patristic and medieval Trinitarian theology for the contemporary church, with an eye to its conceptual clarity and validity.
