Sockscast

The Sockscast is back and grinding away as John takes us on a heart-wrenching and emotional tale of his latest cave spelunking adventures and Castlevania Goddamned Everything, Polly finally got around to playing Axiom Verge and can't wait to bore you with more of her dumb music stuff, and Rhete just can't stop sneaking around to hide all those episodes of Steven Universe he's watched in two weeks!

All aboard the Sockscast Express as we're joined this episode by long-time SMPS community member byronhulcher. We're all yackin' about pretty much everything this episode with Byron getting all up in Dark Souls Grill and even more excited about Fallout 4! John's been away for a bit so he fills us in on his month of JRPGs, Kirby, and Castlevania, Rhete's watching ALL OF THE WORLD'S ENTIRE ANIME, and Polly digs deep into interactive fiction.

This episode of the Sockscast starts with the somber news of Satoru Iwata's passing, while at the same time looking forward to the impact he left on the industry as a whole. We're joined by Michellybells this episode, as she makes her Sockscast debut, filling us in on King's Field, a weirdly obscure Japanese-only Famicom title, and a host of other topics. Rhete's running blind through a forest and lamenting the impending doom of Flash, and Polly is a good speller! All that and a NEW Sockscast correspondent!

It's the Fourth of July weekend and the most patriotic podcast ever is celebrating with long-time Socksmakepeoplesexy.Net contributator and forumite Vanor Orion. He's gonna give us the low-down on his journey into PC gaming, Call of Duty, and of course, Monster Hunter! Lots of Monster Hunter! All the Monster Hunter! After that, Rhete's watching an anime abut cute girls doing cute things in a music club and playing "Quite possibly the greatest game ever made," Polly's been busy raiding tombs and playing the most delightful RPG ever, and John's got a bone to pick with one of your favorite games of all-time! Oh...and the ever-so-subtle lyrical genius of Till Lindemann.

The Sockscast crew is joined by the one and only other person on the podcast that cares as much about Faith No More than Polly, Pauncho Smith. In this episode we're gonna talk Faith No More, Final Fantasy VII, streaming, and a lot of Mighty Switch Force. John's fallen down another gaming-related rabbit hole with SNK's signature fighting series The King of Fighters, Polly is sneaking around and stealing everything, and Rhete's got another case of the Neptunias! And also, surprise Faith No More reviews when you least expect them! EXCITEMENT!
