This is our 3rd installment in our coaching series and these by far have been our most downloaded episodes to date!
On today's show we go into the following questions:
What is a common pitfall to avoid during the early stages of practice? Is there any one big thing that you've reflected on in development of the business, or as a practitioner, that you wished you could have known early?
QL - contracture/trigger points/pain. Is this generally always a sign of underlying disc pathology or irritation? These patients often present to the massage therapist, hoping to have it released, but is this a mistake and prolonging the problem - i.e. destabilizing a system that is trying to find stability by locking down the soft tissues. Is it a better approach to allow the disc some time to settle and then start evaluating the lumbar spine and hips?
Frequency of treatment - what are some of the general guidelines that you find work well in clinic, in terms of scheduling patient follow-ups and how it progresses throughout a case. I.e. twice a week, once a week, etcAs always if you want to be part of the soft tissue practice revolution here's what you need to do:
1. Visit our facebook page www.facebook.com/thesofttissuedoc and request to join our group.
