THIIIRD Waves is the sonic sibling of THIIIRD magazine. Bringing a bi-monthly mix of sound and thought to Soho Radio, it features topical discussions and interviews around a central theme exploring arts, activism, culture, entertainment and community. Spliced with an eclectic mix of music influenced by cultural diasporas throughout and finished by a DJ set.

The arts industry is one of those sectors that rely on human interaction, whether it is to experience a live theatre performance, music in a venue or at a festival or even just popping into a gallery. So what happens when all those spaces disappear or at best become socially distanced.

Max Golfar works for Hootananny the venue in Brixton as Music & Events Manager, he is a working DJ under the alias of Fizzy Gillespie and runs the event brand and label, Swing & Bass.

This show was produced by Daniela Hornskov Sun.

Artist, film maker, writer and activist STEWART HOME comes into the Bureau to talk about Skinhead, an enduring subculture that generally gets left out of the countercultural history.

We also dip into overlapping areas of mod, punk, politics, northern soul, two tone - and doctor marten boots - as we explore the complex contradictions, roots and evolution of Skin style.
