The presidential race is in a dead heat, though the polls vary. Some put Clinton ahead nationally by five points, but today, Real Clear Politics puts Hillary ahead by only 2 points. In the all-important swing states, the gap is tightening.

Also, it is reported that the Democrats are increasingly worried about their chances in taking over the Senate.

Meanwhile, there are growing concerns that a percentage of Bernie Sanders supporters are now backing conservative libertarian Gary Johnson.

New elections are scheduled in Haiti for October 9th. following last fall s U.S.-backed fraudulent elections, the Haitian people took to the streets and refused to accept the deeply inaccurate results. In August, health insurance giant Aetna announced that it was dropping out of Obamacare. This move followed the Department of Justice filing of a lawsuit in July to block Aetna s acquisition of Humana insurance. Meanwhile, Green Party candidate Jill Stein has chosen Black human rights activist Ajamu Baraka as her vice presidential running mate and is second in the polls among Black voters.

Trump called to 2nd Amendment defenders in a not-so-veiled threat against Clinton should she become president. He also accused he President Obama of founding ISIS. These remarks come as polls remain tight in swing states, where there is a dead heat between Trump and Clinton.

Will the presidential candidates pay any attention to a new report says it will take Black families 228 years and Latino families 84 years to accumulate the amount of wealth of the average white family today? What can be done to stem this growing wealth divide?

On the international front: what is being referred to as a coup moves forward in Brazil; tensions rise between Russia and Ukraine over the Crimea; and NATO continues its push against Russia s borders. This, as the Cold War is reflected in the presidential election " and even in the Olympics now underway in Rio.

Also, the U.S. has made an offer of cooperation with Russia in the Syrian civil war, and the so-named attempted coup in Turkey continues to impact relations in the region. How are these international challenges playing themselves out in the presidential race?
