Disclaimer, by any means am I using what is going on as a way to get attention. As a black woman this is my reality and the only way I seem to be able to to remain sane or express myself is through spoken words, through art, meditation, creativity. I use to be alone but now I’m free to share my work without experiencing hateful slurs and slanders from my own people. Even with the current state of things, for the first time in my lifetime, it seems as if we’re finally on one page. But even though we’re fighting racism, we should be fighting this system, the system that also haves intersections and is responsible for our sufferings. Whether you’re black and woman, black and queer, poc and disabled, this war cannot be won unless we include the people who are most demeaned, most vulnerable, and most disrespected. Remember, if your biases is affecting my way of life, it’s not an opinion, it’s hate!
