In this special release of "Stories from the Stellar" we follow the tale of Leander and the pivotal Billionaire Strike that changed the world of The Stellar in 2029. Trigger Warning: Allusion to gendered violence. It's not necessarily a trigger but my 'cockney accent' also requires warning!

This week, we talk to Audrey Peterman, a Jamaican activist who played a key role in making a home for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) in the great outdoors in the United States. Historically, people of colour were not deemed relevant in the Outdoors sector, especially urban people of colour. However, Audrey fought to combat this stereotype and has written extensively on the matter. We sit down and listen to the wonderful stories and great wisdom derived from years of activism.

[Edit: Post publishing addition of Aug 31, 2026!] In this update I struggle to write but feel good that the work is mine as opposed to my early days in the working world where my work did not belong to me. Quite a few Jamaicans ghostwrite because we need the money and we speak the language, lingua franca.

In this Story from the Stellar, Lunarpunk TTRPG, we explore how Gris works in this semi secret society network for self improvement, philosophy, art, self exploration and traditions. Harris is interested in joining The Stellar but Satia has much to say about how life in The Stellar can be.

(Edit: The incorrect file was uploaded, the correct one added after publishing!) In this minisode we discuss the results of our July 2026 Patreon poll, all about whether you would move because of climate disasters or if you would stay in your country. To weigh in on our polls, join our Patreon!

In this Carbon Neutral Strike Update, I am without cancer! Yay! Infected lymph node... so kinda gross but hey, not cancer. I am the grateful. I talk about the writing I've done of both Bachelor Thesis (not finished, don't get excited for me) and a story for a magazine. I share a snippet from the Thesis where I highlight the most used word in my Carbon Neutral Strike Updates 1 to 30. The word: "Just" and what that means.
Hope you enjoy!

On this episode from Season 9 of Solarpunk Presents, we sit down with Frank Holleman from Fork Ranger - the fact is that the top 10% richest people on the planet are responsible for a large majority of consumer emissions and so eating for the planet can make a difference when we know that 1/3rd of our emissions are based on our food system. Frank breaks down the details of what it means to make great food choices, and that it's not all or nothing; you can take many paths towards being more aware of how you eat and what it means. We can choose to eat foods that require less energy to produce, vegetables versus energy intensive meat. Even if the vegetable is shipped. We also play a fun game with randomized ingredients and Frank gives us some surprising recipes!

In this episode I try my best. I compensate music making and game making, I realize not to take friendship for granted and eventually compensate messengers too, I have a block for my work, but go to the doctor finally to start getting clarity on my health issue, I walk across the city to do it and it's not as bad as I expected (on the way, the way back got worse and worse!) and I share a demo of a song that came full formed months ago.

In this episode we welcome back none other than Christina De La Rocha, former cohost of Solarpunk Presents, in order to discuss the benefits of Idealism versus Pragmatism. To us, idealism is aiming for the highest goals and accepting nothing less, while pragmatism includes compromise and just accepting the job as done even if it's only 75% of the goal. Which one should we go for as Solarpunks? And is it a binary or, like so often happens, is the binary false?

Aleya Jobson of fastfrwrd.info is currently hosting a series with us sharing her Carbon Neutral Strike updates (that has been ongoing since April 22, 2025!) and reflecting on the ways in which oppressive systems conspire to prevent us from living our best solarpunk lives, prioritizing people and planet over profit.
