In this episode, Aleya and Ariel discuss the musical highlights of the post-punk and post-punk revival music scenes, and their influences on Aleya's teenage years and musical growth as well as whether they qualify not only as punk/post punk/revival but also solid Solarpunk or Lunarpunk. The music playlist can be found on the Solarpunk Presents Patreon where we share monthly playlist suggestions for all members including free members!
There is a mistake where the lyrics for "Reptilia" by The Strokes is misquoted and it is actually from "Whatever Happened" still. Oops!
Another oops, Bob Marley sings: "We FREE the people with music, can we FREE the people with music?" Oopsie.

This episode, Ariel questions Aleya about lunarpunk, how she got into it, why it attracts her, and even some things that she doesn't like about it. Aleya then turns the interview around to ask Ariel about solarpunk, how she got involved, and its application in her everyday life. This episode also serves to announce changes at Solarpunk Presents; Christina has stepped back for personal reasons, and Aleya is stepping forward into the role of cohost, and we're pretty excited about it.

This episode of DIY Virtuality has me talking couchsurfing, workaway, travel, hitchiking and alternative currencies with Albi or Albrecht Ihlenburg or Rumkommen, a former couchsurfer of mine! We also have a song together where he made the track on his own, I found it, asked permission, and made “Hammerhead” from the album “Seeker” and also on “Seekers of Utopia” the expanded album. Audio crackling due to unsteady signal, working on it.

This is a type of podcast I do with people from my past about sustainability, life, effective activism and a principled life, friendship and our past.
With Elina Street, I catch up with this old friend from my adolescence in France. Elina Street is a director who has filmed an interview with Celine Dion! She has also done great work to co-create The Lesbian Bar project and we touch on that topic in this chat!

I do two types of podcast! One about carbon neutral striking and this where I get in touch with people from my past!
In this podcast with a good friend we talk life changes, smoking, philosophy, eating animals, art, and we improvise some music.
Jesse Vanden Eynde is a solo artist based in Gent, Belgium.
Since recording I have stopped smoking and eating animals and Jesse lives in Thailand.

*Edit Mar 4, 2026: Cannot find any mention of “Habitual Evil” in philosophical theory when I search… guys, did I make this up??
Edit May 22, 2025: I only smoke weed and grabba mostly. It’s going well.
Edit May 2026: No animals or smoking for now :)

Hey all, so I do another type of podcast with people from my past who I want to touch base with. We often talk about life stuff but there is always a sustainability link. In this episode we speak at length about adoption which many in the anthropocene view as their only way towards child-rearing when the future is so uncertain. We also talk about gender-based (ish) issues and pressures of capitalist worklife that can affect mental well-being in an already stressful world. Watch out for the fakeout ending!
It's about burnout, stressful dating experiences, third culture kid stuff, growing up and youth around the world, adoption, and more over mojitos. Please enjoy!

Heyo! Today marks the last day of my hunger strike because I have to start my medication for my circulation and I need to take it twice a day with a meal. No getting around that and since I've been light-headed a lot it is somewhat urgent. In this final dispatch, I go into my history with food with a few pitstops about my travels, plastic and other topics. I then record having my first piece of food in NINE DAYS!! And make a salad and spiel, then taste test.
All of this is to draw attention to the May 2026 Hunger Strike Game Plan if you guess the riddles to find the quests. Are you game?

Aleya Jobson of fastfrwrd.info is currently hosting a series with us sharing her Carbon Neutral Strike updates (that has been ongoing since April 22, 2025!) and reflecting on the ways in which oppressive systems conspire to prevent us from living our best solarpunk lives, prioritizing people and planet over profit.
