The season of Lent is officially upon us! It is a season of prayer, almsgiving and repentance. In this episode we talk about what lent is and why its important. We read and go over the Gospel for Ash Wednesday which sets the tone for the season of Lent. The Gospel is Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18.  

The season of Advent is upon us! In this week episode we discuss the importance of the season of Advent and, how we can take this opportunity to grow closer with God.

In this episode I read 1 Thessalonians 5:1-6. I discuss how we should stay awake and sober for the coming of the Lord. 

In today's episode we look over the Gospel of Luke 14:1-6. In this reading we see that the Pharisees are trying to catch Jesus to do something unlawful. Jesus however proves to the Pharisees that the sabbath is not just a day of rest but a day of doing good works and to heal. Jesus calls us to do the same on the sabbath and its important to listen to his call.

In this week episode we talk a little bit in how we as Christians should respond to Halloween and we also talk about the Gospel of Matthew 22:37-39. It is important to live by the two greatest commandants that Jesus calls us to live by and with everything that is going on in the world it can be challenging to do that. 

In this week episode I talk about how important is to pray for our enemies and not allow our anger to want the worst to happen to them. I also discuss Philippines 4:6-9 and how we should think whatever is lovely, gracious, just, pure, and excellence and worthy of praise for this is who our Lord and savior is. 

In this week episode I read and discuss the parable of the two sons in the gospel of Matthew 21:28-32. I also read 2 Corinthians 1:5 and talk about suffering and encouragement through Christ. 

In this week episode I talk about and discuss how as Christians we should stay hopeful and faithful when we are feeling broken in our life. The scriptures I used in this episode are John 16:33 and Romans 15:13. 

In today's episode will look over the gospel of Luke 6:27-38. I'll talk about forgiveness and doing unto others as we would want them to do unto us.  I also talk about how its not easy to forgive and to do the right thing but Jesus calls us to do so and not to expect anything in return.
