2.Jesus was baptised … Wow it must be important, right?

3.Baby baptism? (No, it’s baby dedication!)

5.Baptism means fully immersed or wet

Matthew 3:16 NIV

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.

Mark 1:10 NIV

Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

6.The power of water baptism. (2 key verses)

Colossians 2:11-12 BSB

"In Him you were circumcised in the putting off of the sinful nature (the flesh).-It is (Not just symbolic). Our old nature (called "the old man", "the sinful or flesh nature”or "the body of sin) is cut spiritually from us when we are buried with Christ in baptism. Something is really buried.

Romans 6;1-7 BSB

What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? (2) Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer? (3) Or aren’t you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? (4) We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.(5) For if we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection. (6) We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Romans 6:6 NLT

We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.
