Sometimes we do not realize the consequence of what we want, The children of Israel wanted to be like every other nation and have a king. But God did not want them to be like other nations, He wanted to be their King. So how do we keep our hearts and minds pure in our request?

How do we do at Solid Rock to serve our LORD? At Solid Rock our vision is Loving God/ Loving People, Growing Kids God's Way, Healing the Hurting, Equipping Leaders for the Kingdom, and Seek and Saving the Lost. So how did we do this past year? Are we bring Jesus into others lives?

Transformation, A marked changed in appearance or character, usually for the better. What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! - 2 Corinthians 5:17. As born-again believers we have been transform through the blood of Christ, but what does that mean? We are saved by grace yet James tells us that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). So how do we know if there has been a transformation in our heart?

What is your New Year's Resolution? Is getting closer to Jesus on your list? As born-again believers we should be living super-natural lives, but are we? Our commitment to Jesus needs to be more than a promise, it needs to be a relationship. So how is your relationship with Jesus doing?

Have you ever participated in a gift exchange where you hoped that a certain person was the one who would give you your gift? The kind of person who just seemed to go above and beyond in selecting that perfect gift. Your best relative has selected that gift for you, and that gift is Jesus! Will you accept God's perfect gift for you?

"Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Won't she light a lamp and sweep the entire house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she will call in her friends and neighbors and say, 'Rejoice with me because I have found my lost coin.' 10 In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God's angels when even one sinner repents." - Luke 15:8-10 NLT
