The habits we have impact our lives! Because we don’t know what tomorrow brings or what’s up ahead of the road for us in the years to come, it’s important we assess what habits we have that are either helping us or hindering us. Habits not only influence us but also others, especially our family members. Neural plasticity shows our brains can indeed “gain new tricks” unlike the saying for dogs, “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” We are humans and can change our habits over time and with consistency and effort. It’s well worth it!
It’s important to assess what is going on inside of us, within our hearts and our thoughts. This is because our thoughts create our character. Our character directs the way we conduct ourselves in everyday life situations. What does God specifically say about our behavior as women who pursue the heart of God? He gives us His wisdom in how we can develop “reverent behavior” that truly honors Him. When we intentionally practice His ways, then our outlook on life and relationships changes for the better!
There are three “Essential Beliefs” that are of the utmost importance! How well we know them and live by them will affect all areas of our life. These are the foundations we always need to stand on. They keep us secure, stable and steadfast no matter what trials or situations come across our path. We need to always hold these close to our hearts and remember them in our thoughts so we can walk with wisdom. They help us keep our focus on “Pursuing the Heart of God” in all ways and on all days!

What did Jesus actually mean when He said these three words: "Do not judge?" Do we take this verse out of context and therefore conclude we can never judge the actions and choices of others? Are we unloving and legalistic if we oppose controversial issues that the culture accepts because it's none of our business? Let's look at the Scriptures to see 4 wrong ways to judge and then 6 right ways to judge. Seriously, there's a right way? Yes!! God's Word shows us the balance with the topic of judging.
When we are deep in the trenches of unrest, it affects us and our relationships in negative ways. Why don't we have a sense of calm and tranquility in our minds and emotions? Let's explore some ways to pursue peace so we don't stay in inner turmoil.
It's essential we define what type of person we want to become! What does God want us to "Put Off" and then "Put On" so we can be the best we can be. What we do while on this earth matters! But what keeps us in the quicksand so we can't move forward? And what sets us free so we can run the race set before us?
One of the most controversial topics is modesty. Does Scripture say anything about it? How do we define what discretionary dressing really is? I leave it up to the listener of this podcast to assess answers as we review various perspectives.
What causes us to be consumed with jealousy? And what is at the root of envying what others have and we desperately want? What are the negative consequences of jealousy and envy? In this podcast, I'll be sharing 4 practical steps of action of how to "Rid Yourself of the Green-Eyed Monster!"
