Solving JFK

We speak with Secret Service expert Vince Palamara about various anomalies with the President's protection in Dallas on November 22, 1963, including the agent's being hungover, the bubble top removal, the planning of the route, the removal of motorcycles alongside the vehicle, and the rearranging of the motorcade personnel (including removing the press truck).

Part 2 will be out this Friday.

In this episode, we review Bolden’s claim that, on November 2, 1963, in addition to a potential threat from lone gunman, Thomas Arthur Vallee, there was also a failed plot against President Kennedy in Chicago by four men who had rifles. Bolden says that the Secret Service covered up the Chicago plot, and then, when he tried to come forward to the Warren Commission, he was framed for a crime, which resulted in him serving time in prison.

In this episode on the Secret Service, we’ll try to wrap up the remaining issues surrounding the White House Security Detail in Dallas, including claims that the driver of the Presidential limo, Bill Greer, killed President Kennedy, and claims that an agent in the follow up car, George Hickey, killed President Kennedy. Then, we’ll summarize the information that was discussed in the last 3 episodes.

In this episode, we continue to address issues related to how the Secret Service handled security on November 22nd, 1963, including, the vehicle speed of the presidential limo, rooftop security, the removal of agents from the rear of the limo, the threat research with the Protective Research Section, and the presence of Army Intelligence in the motorcade.

In this episode, we revisit the presidential motorcade in Dallas. But, this time, we’ll zoom in to the motorcade itself, as opposed to what was seen by Secret Service in the motorcade as we previously discussed in Episode 11. Why did the motorcade travel the route it did? Who planned the details of that route? And were there any last minute changes to the motorcade lineup?

Over the next few episodes, we’ll analyze the granular details of the Secret Service’s actions on the day of the assassination and the lead up to it. The big overarching question is whether there was something more than mere negligence. Were the security failures a series of unfortunate coincidences, or was there someone intentionally making the motorcade less secure?

In this episode, we analyze whether the Secret Service agents drank excessive alcohol the night before. We also look at what led to the removal of the bubble top from the presidential limo. Why was local law enforcement not more involved? And why was the police motorcycle presence decreased in Dallas?

Matt is joined by Rob Clark and Joe Borelli of The Lone Gunman podcast, the longest running JFK Assassination podcast. Rob and Joe share two major research findings: 1) Marina Oswald's business manager 's wife was a CIA contract agent and 2) a kid named John T. Martin made a film showing the outside and inside of General Walker's house, including the bullet hole. Later on the same film, Lee Harvey Oswald is shown in New Orleans after an altercation where he had been handing out literature.
