This week Jake goes to a "free" concert that sounds really lame but has a good time. He's then confused for an employee at the dollar store for some reason. Larry rants about how people suck. We then talk about fast food for no real reason. Larry did the homework from last week which was to not look at your screens for an evening. Jake didn't.

This week's homework: Watch "A Quiet Place"

This week’s episode starts with a conversation about walking and hiking. Soon we talk about getting back home early FOR NO REASON. Then we discuss how another teacher in Jake’s school is clearly messing with his chi. We talk some recommendations like:

Then we discuss the band The Mountain Goats and how Jake is trying not to be such a f-in gatekeeper and what that even means. Dave Matthews is brought up. Jeopardy is discussed. Podcast listening habits are a topic. Jake did one habit to improve his life per last week’s homework. Larry did not because he’s lazy.

This week’s homework: Have one evening free of screens.

This week Jake tells us that he went to a public viewing of Jurassic Park and got lit watching dinosaur carnage. Larry then talks about his existential crisis as he’s about to quit his job without any sort of plan as to what to do next. Smart. Jake then tells us what it’s like being a teacher during the dog days of summer (which are not over yet). We then briefly talk about the Keto diet and spending money on expensive tech gadgets. The Long Winters are discussed again and then we talk about how we both watched the Expanse and our thoughts on that. Bar trivia is rhapsodized and then we get to the homework.

This week’s homework:

- Do one habit to improve your life.

- Listen to the first 5 songs of “Sunset Tree” by The Mountain Goats

This is probably our best episode yet. That doesn’t mean it’s good, but if you’re new start here and then just wait for the next one. Anyway, in this episode we talk about teaching, school dances and amusement parks.
