TICKETS FOR SOME LAUGH LIVE AT THE STAND GLASGOW 15TH DECEMBER ON SALE NOW: https://www.thestand.co.uk/performance/20534/some-laugh-live-show/20251215/glasgow
This week the boays are joined by comedian and broadcaster Des Clarke. Des discusses how starting stand-up led to him landing presenting roles on radio and TV, hosting SMTV soon after the departure of Ant & Dec (including interviews with the likes of Madonna and Britney Spears), and details his chance encounter with Sir Paul McCartney. Plus, Des divulges what it's like hosting at the Commonwealth Games & Scotland's Hogmanay, opens up about how his childhood anxieties led to him only learning to drive and swim as an adult (and for a TV programme, of course), and addresses the accusation from some other podcast about whether he really is a shapeshifter.
Des will be performing his new show "Life After Des" this March in Edinburgh, Aberdeen & Glasgow. Tickets here: https://www.aegpresents.co.uk/event/des-clarke/

This week Marc is joined by comedian and star of Taskmaster Series 20 Phil Ellis. They discuss Phil learning about making it on the show, how he found recording the series, and the novelty of receiving fan-art (even if they all tend to depict him with slightly less hair than he has in real life). Plus, Phil recounts some of his infamous stunts at previous Edinburgh Fringe shows, including the time when pretending to hang himself by the rafter almost had a fatal ending. They also chat about Phil's appearance on Sunday Brunch, the possibility of Live at the Apollo, and why it's important to say "yes" to whatever opportunities come your way.
Phil is on a UK tour including dates at London's Soho Theatre in December, Edinburgh's Monkey Barrel on 23rd February & The Stand in Glasgow on 15th April. Tickets here: https://www.philelliscomedy.com/

Plus, they discuss the wild encounter they had with a Canadian (but spiritually American) guy before the Oasis concert, a Kill Tony fan whose personal backstory unravelled in the most heavy-handed parody of a manosphere-type that you could possibly imagine. And Mike then recounts how he nearly never got to see the concert after a run-in with some sniffer dogs.
Mike is on tour with his show "Cruel Little Man", including at Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre on Saturday 15th November (where Marc and CMB will be providing support). Tickets here: https://www.mikericecomedy.com/
