Been a fan of this weeks guest for a while so I was excited to finally get to talk to Emma White. Emma is an up and coming country star who has seen a lot of recent success from her two latest hits 'Thirties' and 'Mothers and Daughters'.

We talked about how she got into the music industry, what changes she's seen in the music industry since starting her own record label White House Records, what role TikTok and social media in general plays in advancing her career and we finish off our talk with getting to know her more with some rapid fire questions, including some Christmas centric questions...tis the season!

On the second episode of my Managing Sports series, I sat down with Nathan Kalman-Lamb. Nathan is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of New Brunswick who specializes in researching social theory and the sociology of sport, with a particular focus on labor, racism, and exploitation. He is also the cohost of the End of Sport podcast with Derek Silva and Johanna Mellis.

In our discussion on college sports we talked about lack of academic opportunities for student athletes, exploitation of athletes, whether college sports fail without being a part of the universites, structural coercion, NIL and why it may or might not be a good thing for college athletics and much much more.

This week on Somehow I Manage(d) I sat down and chatted to professional golfer and content creator, Alex Romo. Been looking forward to having this conversation for a while now and despite some technical difficulties on my end, we got it done and couldn't be more impressed with Alex's mindset on going through golf, health and life in general.

We got into how he got started in golf, how he was told he would never play golf competitively again, how he almost gave up golf for good, his long term aspirations with golf, mental health advocacy, and life and of course we finished it off with another game of SHIM or SHAM! Enjoy!

A little Fathers Day message to my dad and all the other dads out there!

I'm back with a new episode! I got the pleasure of speaking with Sam (Peltz) Stapleton, star of three shows on Disney+; What Sam Sees, Sam's Zookeeper Challenge and Scuba Sam's World. We discussed how she got into diving, her love of animals, who inspired her to help and care for animals the way she does, her scariest diving stories and we ended it with a teaser of what she is currently working on!

I’m back! Been away for a bit but getting back into the swing of things and what better way to start back with catching up with an old friend.

This week I chatted with Ryan Goff of MGH Advertising and we got into his appearance on Wheel Of Fortune, his journey at MGH from almost quitting on his first day to now EVP CMO. Then we took a detour to talk about his infamous(famous?) tattoo, the difficulties of being a parent of a child with a very rare disability and finished with Ryan’s version of the perfect day in Baltimore and of course finished with a round of SHIM or SHAM.
