On this weeks episode, I gots chance to talk to the one and only Amin Elhassan. Amin is a former front office executive for the Phoenix Suns, ESPN personality and now a contributor over at Meadowlark Media where he has regular  appearances on the Dan LeBatard Show with Stugotz, and co-hosts the  Basketball Illuminati, Oddball, and the Rule of Two podcasts. He is also one of the co-hosts of the Cinephobe podcast.

During our conversation we talked about him splitting time between Sudan and New York growing up, his love for basketball which led to it becoming his career, important figures who have made a huge impact on his career, the success of Cinephobe and Star Wars fandom, ranking of Star Wars shows and expectations for Ahsoka.

Welcome back to my latest Managing Sports episode. This interview was a great one. As a parent of youth athletes, I'm learning to deal with not having my kids being as competitive and into participating in sports like I was, so this was a very informative interview.

This week my guest is Dr. Stankovich and there were a million things I could've talked to him about and eventually will talk to him about but this week we honed in on youth sports. Dr. Stankovich is a licensed professional athletic counselor and professor of sport psychology/sociology and is know as "The Sports Doc" for his media appearances on USA Today, ESPN, ABC World News and many others.

We talk the importances of making sports fun for kids, the stigma that is recreation sports, not burning your kids out with sports specialization, social media and it's stressors and much more!

It's another Outsiders Social Club (OSC) podcast spotlight episode. This week I had on our resident degenerate gambler, Joe Vegas!

Back with another episode of Managing Sports, a series I have where I speak with individuals in the Sport Management world and have a fun, in depth conversation about current events, racial issues, gender issues, and anything and everything revolving around the cultural relevance of the sporting world.

This week I sat down with Matt Hoddler, assistant professor of Sport and Communication at the University of Rhode Island. Along with his work on swimming, gender and race issues in sports, Matt also teaches a course on Sport and Film. We discussed Rocky's importance in sport film making, why sport films are culturally relevant in pop culture, the time triangle theory when viewing sports films (when did the movie occur, when did the movie come out and when was the movie viewed) and how it impacts your perception of the film, what sports movies get wrong or right, culturally relevancy of older movies with today's current climate and a fun game of Shim or Sham!
