"Noorah, why am I still doing it?"

The simple answer is: because your heart isn't convinced.

We can "convince" your heart intellectually all we want and it will agree with all that we are saying..., but it won't "shift".

It won't shift until it's engaged in a different type of conversation.

A conversation where needs can be heard and met and where aspirations and new narratives can be born.

It gives me hope.

No matter what situation we're in, in our personal or work life, we have something in our control. We have power. We have choice. If we want to change a situation, we CAN.

Not by "making" someone change or by "forcing" someone to act a certain way or to think a certain way, but by moving differently ourselves.

In every stage in life we need to learn how to:

The Process of letting go of something is the shadow that we tent to avoid.

When we avoid it we keep ourselves locked in the old patterns that are keeping us stuck. Unable to expand, grow and find new meaning.

Whatever stage you are in life, in this 7 minute podcast, I leave you with a thought that will help you take the first step.

Coz here's what I see happening, people either go on one extreme or the other.

Holding on too tightly to their strengths where they can't see any place of improvement.

Or they hold on too tightly to their weaknesses that they are unable to admit and own their strengths.

Both are flips sides of "not feeling good enough." The middle zone (where self-confidence lies), is where we can see ourselves as a whole.

We can lean on our strengths, we are aware of our challenges and we can consciously decide on what we want to lean on and what we want to improve on and why.
