Today's text is 1 Corinthians 10. Paul shares with us how to respond faithfully in the midst of our circumstances.

We discuss how God provided for the Israelites in the desert with visible expressions of His presence and provisions that they needed to survive. Even though they bore witness to these provisions daily they still lusted after what their hearts desired. Paul shows us through this example how we must daily choose God's grace. We must chase after God's grace to help us through our daily circumstances so that we may leade a life that is well-pleasing to the Lord.

God's grace is up to the challenge, He is faithful to give you the necessary grace you need to get through your challenge without giving in to sin.

This week we are looking at the text in Ephesians 2: 11-22. Paul gives us the context of the gospel in these verses today.

Having a relationship with Christ changes us. We are no longer the same people we were and we're no longer living without the hope we have in Christ. Having a relationship with Christ brings us near to God. Jesus is the reason we are able to be near to God, his death and resurrection gives us a new relationship and we are no longer strangers.

Because we are in Christ we can enjoy having the Holy Spirit that lives within us and because we are in Christ we can enjoy relationship with other members of the church.

Paul is warning us to wake up and be ready, the day of salvation is coming ever closer. In today's sermon we discuss the many examples the Bible provides in putting off the old ways, the sinful ways and putting on the new self in the ways of Jesus Christ. Learn how we are to look to the Bible to show us what Jesus did and how we should seek to do the same and live a life according to the Word of God.

Today we look at the book of 2 Timothy. Paul wrote this letter to Timothy while he was imprisoned. In this book Paul is urging Timothy to stay focused and share the gospel, be prepared for the coming days are getting worse.

We also need this reminder to stay focused, stay in the Word of God. Knowing the Bible, knowing scripture will equip us for every good work and help us to respond to the growing darkness around us today.

Today we look at Jeremiah 17 and the challenge Jeremiah had ministering to the people of Judah. Jeremiah was called to be a prophet and call the people to repentance in a very difficult time in history.

What would your neighbor say about you? In our text today from 1 Peter 2:11 we talk about how keeping ourselves from fleshly lusts and conducting ourselves honorably affects those around us.

We should be living a life that honors God. Do your everyday actions reflect a heart changed by the gospel? Do others look at you and the way you behave and react to life around you and think to themselves, "What's different about them that they would react that way?"

The challenge issued today is to live in a way that someone would have a desire to know the Lord after they have spent time around you and seen you react and interact with others around you.

Our sermon today is from Proverbs 4. We are discussing the key ingredients needed to remain faithful.

Solomon shares his wisdom with us that in order to remain faithful to God we need to guard our hearts. We learn that in guarding your heart and your life you will keep the Word of the Lord in front of you cotinually.

By looking to what the Word of God says we can see how things in our life are impacting our heart, which is the wellspring of life. Then we can consider what we're doing about those things in our life and examine our lifestyle everyday.

Continuing in our Firm Foundation series today we look at Psalm 119. Specifically verses 57-64 about friendship and why it matters to the Christian.

The psalmist gives two criteria for choosing his friends. 1. That he is a companion to all who fear God, and 2. that his friends obey God and keep His precepts. We discuss why looking for friends that meet this criteria will be blessing to you and bring honor to the Lord.
