Today our scripture is from Matthew 2, in verses 13-23 we see how Joseph demonstrates his trust and obedience in God's plan.

Do you trust God with your life? Are you a wise person? Is your hope in God? These are good questions to ask yourself as we enter the new year. Anything could happen this year, are you following God's call on your life?

In the scripture from 1 Peter today we are discussing how we are to respond to pressures and suffering. We should be living in a way that when others observe us dealing with suffering that we inspire others to follow Christ.

In 1 Peter 4 verses 7-11 Peter lays out ways to help each other in suffering. This is how we can live a life that brings glory to God and draws others to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This message is from John 3, in verses 22-36 we cover the part of scripture where John the Baptist is exalting Christ and his ministry. John tells of he was only preparing the way for Jesus and now that Jesus has come to share eternal life with all who believe that his ministry must become greater than John's.

Jesus came offering God's mercy and grace to us so that we might have eternal life. Now our job as Christians is to rejoice in God's work everywhere. We are to be about the True story and not about ourselves, keep our eyes on God.

Our message today comes from Ephesians 5. Paul is instructing the church to be imitators of God and to walk in love as Christ walked in love.

We should be striving to live a life that reflects that we are followers of Jesus. We should behave in a God-honoring way. And as followers imitate Jesus' selfless, sacrificial love. We need to give thanks continually for the love of God. His provision and His grace. This should be what flows out of us.

Today we discuss the act of baptism and its significance in the life of a Christian.

Because of Jesus' death and resurrection we can live righteously. We do not have to live in sin any longer, with the act of baptism the old man who was a slave to sin is no more and we are raised up to walk in the newness of life.

Because of our relationship with God through Jesus Christ we can live free from the tyranny of sin as righteous people. Sin does not have reign over you.

Today in Isaiah 44 the Lord reminds his people that he is fully committed to them and that He is the only God, there is no other.

The text today warns against the foolishness of idols and looking to something or someone other than God to worship. God is God and there is no other, He invites you into that relationship. God offers salvation to all, even those carrying their own idols.

All we need to do is worship and trust Him. You can't see or know what God knows He asks that you trust Him.

Ever find yourself feeling bored with Bible study or worship? Ask the Lord to lift the veil. In Galatians 3 Paul asks the Galatians four questions to help them see that they should resist false teachers.

Make yourself obedient to Christ so that you will not desert the Lord. Ask God to lift the veil from your heart so that you may hear and learn and experience the Lord Jesus Christ.

In chapter 3 of Ephesians Paul is praying that we, as Christians, would be strengthened. Paul is praying that God would strengthen us through the power of the Spirit so that we may live a life that is rooted and grounded in Christ.

Always be aware that God is able. Keeping this in the forefront of our minds helps us to live a life of gratitude, confidence and hope in Jesus, which makes us strong for the life we are called to live.

In the text today, God is calling on the prophet Jeremiah to warn Judah to repent of their sin of idolatry. God has told Jeremiah that Judah has been ungrateful and are choosing to engage in idolatry.

Listen along as we learn how choosing other things in our life that we think will bring us peace is actually idolatry and how those things will not actually make us better. We should turn to God for only He can give us the peace we are seeking. God wants our worship, our devotion and our attention.

Today we are reading through Romans 8 verses 1-17. Paul shares with us the state of man before and after salvation. He tells us if we have a relationship with Christ we are justified without condemnation.

We learn what it means to live in the Spirit and not of the flesh. How we can put to death the deeds of the flesh and live a life led by the Spirit. And by the adoption into God's family we are children of God and co-heirs with Christ. In being adopted we are now called to live for Him.
