Happy Mother's Day! Today's message is from Proverbs 31. Pastor Kevin gives context surrounding this poem that was wirtten about a woman as she looks back over her life.

Proverbs points us to a way of living, this poem is not a checklist for women to try to achieve. As a Christian we all have the same purpose to glorify God by becoming like Jesus. We have the same goal, but we all achieve or work towards this goal differently.

Today's text is from Acts 12:1-25. Pastor tells us of how King Herod persecuted the early church. However, the church continued to grow in spite of the persecution. In fact, God delivered Peter from prison while the early church was praying for him.

We learn that when we pray and ask for God's will to be done we should do so in submission and then trust in God's sovern and providential plan.

What's your attitude when you pray?

The sermon today is from Acts 11:19-30. Our reading tells of how the Gospel reaches Antioch and how the church in Antioch ministers to the church in Jerusalem.

Pastor Kevin talks about the heart of authentic Christianity, generosity. The church in Antioch had a determined heart and generous spirit. Can you say the same? What priority do you give to the work of God?

The sermon today is from Acts 11, verses 1-18 Peter explains his ministry in Caesarea. The apostles and believers throughout Judea had heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God, so when Peter came to Jerusalem they began to criticize and question him. He explains his vision and the three men inviting him to Caesarea.

How often do we doubt that the Lord can work in another person? This is wrong thinking on our part, the Bible is clear that the Gospel is for all, any person who hears the Good News and believes can be saved.

Pastor's message comes from Matthew 28:16-20, The Great Commission. As the disciples met in Galilee after the resurrection Jesus appears to them and gives the instruction to, "go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Today's sermon is from Matthew 28:1-15. Pastor Kevin tells the story of the women coming to the tomb to find an angel proclaiming that Christ has risen. No one expected the resurrection, even though Jesus had said multiple times that it was going to happen.

The resurrection means we have hope. We can place all our hope in Jesus and the power of His resurrection. The resurrection guarantees us eternal life as followers of Jesus Christ. As soon as we believe, we receive the power of the resurrection.

Palm Sunday, the beginning of Passion Week.

Today Pastor preaches from Matthew 21:1-11, The Triumphal Entry.

Jesus's entry to Jerusalm fulfills the prophecy in Zechariah that states the Messiah will be riding on a donkey. The people all around are excited because they believe Jesus is there to save them from rule of Rome, but Jesus is about to do something even better. Jesus has come to rescue the world from their sin!

This week the sermon is from Acts 10. A man named Cornelius receives a vision from the Lord to send for Peter. Peter travels to Cornelius's house and while he's there the Holy Spirit comes upon all who are in the house hearing Peter speak. Through this event in the Bible we learn that God does not show partiality and that the good news of the gospel is to be shared with any person.

Any person who hears the Good News can be saved! What Good News.
