In today's scripture we look at a conflict that the early church had to deal with. Pharisees wanted to saddle the new believers with living under the Mosaic law, but the apostles wanted to make sure the Gentiles knew that salvation was based solely on faith in Jesus Christ by God's grace.

Salvation has not changed since then, it is still the same through faith in Jesus Christ. There are no further requirements to be saved. And we should be living with care and consideration towards the unbeliever and any others around us.

Brother Bill brings the message today. An encouraging message from Hebrews 11 and 12. In Hebrews 11 the author of Hebrews is encouraging his audience to remember the people in the Bible that all displayed great faith. Faith is more than a set of beliefs, its dynamic, faith is something you live out through your actions.

We are all called to run the race that God has set out for us, sometimes that includes suffering. Continue on in faith, because God is always there to help us handle whatever situation we are in well. Show the world that we believe He is who He says He is.

Why was Paul motivated to go out and share the gospel with the world? Why should we be motivated to give our lives to share the gospel with the world?

The future is what should motivate us, this life on earth is only the beginning. Just as we see in our world, Paul also experienced persecution, problems and pressure, but he persevered. He persevered because he knew the future that awaiting us is worth it.

In Acts 14:19-28 Paul and Barnabas continue to preach the gospel despite being chased out of towns and stoned and left for dead. Paul & Barnabas faced significant hardships as they preached, yet they persevered by God's grace and the encouragement of God's people.

God has called us to be faithful, to persevere in the work he has given us, whatever work that may be. Seek the strength of the Lord and the encouragement of fellow believers when you feel tired and ready to give up.

We are back in Acts today, after a few weeks off. In Acts 14:1-18 we see Paul and Barnabas preaching in Iconium and Lystra. Paul and Barnabas were boldly preaching the gospel in spite of the Jews' opposition and persecution. The gospel was still preached and the Holy Spirit was working in many hearts.

The sermon today is from Proverbs 8. As it says in verses 10-11, "Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her."

Pastor Kevin shares with us why seeking out wisdom is necessary for the Christian. When we find wisdom we find life and favor from the Lord.

Today's sermon is a celebration of the beauty of adoption. In God's great kindness you are adopted as His children, because He chose to love you and adopt you and make you His heir.

Just as when Christian families choose to adopt a child into their family, God welcomes us into His family when we become saved. Praise be to the Lord!

Pastor is preaching about life in a fallen world and what our goal as Christians should be. We should be living a life that honors Jesus Christ. This is particularly important in the family of believers. Our actions and the way we live our life is a model to those coming behind us.

We need the Bible for instruction, to help us steward the world around us.

Today's text is Acts 13:13-53. Paul and Barnabas are invited to speak at the synagogue in Pisidian Antioch. Paul preaches to the Jews and is then invited to stay longer and preach to the Gentiles. After sharing the Gospel the Jews lead a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, but the Gentiles are happy to believe the Gospel and are filled with joy.

How do you respond to the Gospel message? Are you filled with joy like the Gentiles, happy to accept and follow Jesus, or do you turn away like the Jews?

Pastor Kevin is preaching from Acts 13:1-12 today. Paul and Barnabas are sent on a missionary journey. They share the gospel in Paphos with Bar-Jesus, a sorcerer and the Proconsul. Bar-Jesus was a son of the devil and God punished him.

You are either a child of God or you are of your father the devil. Which one will you choose? The power of the Spirit is greater than the power of the devil. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
