Sorry, I Was Reading

In this episode, Jess and Nat dedicate a whole episode to talk about  Heir of Fire and how hot Rowan Whitethorn is. Apologies in advance for the glitchy audio quality (blame bad WiFi and Zoom) and extra apologies for those who haven't read the book because this episode is all over the place. Nat cries yet again and Jess remembers what happens in the book as she's talking about them. What did you think of the book? What are your favorite parts? Let us know!! In this episode, Jess and Nat think they’re going to talk about Assassin’s Blade AND Heir of Fire, but SURPRISE!! They only talk about The Assassin’s Blade! This episode is a mess. First, it only took 29 episodes to make Natalie cry (can you guess what did it?) Also, you won't want to miss Jess sharing her favorite Dorian/Chaol moments (even though it’s from later on in the series). It’s a fun episode of remembering what the heck happens in this series. Can you keep up? Jess and Nat barely can!! Have you read this series yet? What are your favorite parts? Let us know!! In this episode, Jess and Nat finally start talking about one of their favorite series, Throne of Glass!! This episode focuses on the first two books in the series but be warned, Nat's short attention span makes this episode a rollercoaster of topics so **spoiler warning** for the whole series. Also, you won't want to miss Nat mentioning Isolation by bexchan within the first 5 minutes of the episode (a new record!) and Jess remembering what happens in the Throne of Glass series in the middle of talking about it. In this episode, Jess and Nat start talking about which books they would want to read again for the first time. While Nat, as usual, is all over the place in her book selection and feels, Jess loves reminiscing on past favorites. As you can hear by the start of the episode, this episode is a fun one that you will not want to miss. What are some books that you would want to read for the first time again? Let us know!! In this episode, Jess and Nat continue to talk about some of their favorite book tropes. While Nat likes the dramatic ones, Jess loves the ones that come right out of an action film. As you can see by Nat's madness at the end, these aren't even all of our favorite (and least favorite) tropes, so stick around cause there will definitely be more episodes on the tropes that make us go ~feral~. In this episode, Jess and Nat return once again to the Harry Potter universe to finish off the series by comparing the seventh book to the seventh (and eighth) movie. While Nat wants justice for Krum and Draco, Jess raises her issues with some characters who should have died differently. What were your thoughts on the last two movies? Let us know!! In this episode, Jess and Nat finish up their review of Stephanie Garber's "Finale". While Nat still can't decide if she would choose Jacks or Legend, Jess makes it clear what she would do if she ever saw Dante. This was such a fun book series to read and such a fun episode to film. Have you read this book? If so, let us know what you thought!! In this episode, Jess and Nat talk about some of their favorite book tropes. While Nat likes the ones that rip your heart out, Jess loves the ~tension~. These aren't even all of our favorites - or least favorites - so stick around cause there will definitely be more episodes on the tropes that make us go feral. What are some of your favorites? In this episode, Jess and Nat adventure into the mysterious and magical world of Caraval. While Nat gets passionate over love triangles and book boyfriends, Jess releases tension she felt against a certain character whose first name starts with D and ends with ante. In this episode, Jess and Nat return to the Harry Potter universe to compare the fifth and sixth books to their (lacking) movies. While Nat gets passionate over the Longbottoms and her beau Draco, Jess dives deep into the history of Voldemort himself to hopefully clarify questions that people who haven't read the book keep asking her. What were your thoughts on the movie adaptations? Let us know!!
