This week I’m sharing a few easy mindfulness techniques that you can practice to improve your life, right now.
Beginning a mindfulness practice was definitely one of the best things I have EVER done to improve my well-being!
And that is because mindfulness is a MEGA top-down approach. By top-down I mean that we use the higher part of ourselves to manage the lower. Top-down practices have a powerful knock-on effect that ripples out to uplift and illuminate all areas of our life.
Mindfulness helps in all 3 phases of transformation, and that’s why it’s so powerful, and one of my top techniques for sorting yourself out.
For a quick recap, phase one is Raising Your Awareness, discovering the conditioning and programming that is already installed in your being. Phase two is Liberating Yourself from your self-sabotaging beliefs, thoughts and behaviour patterns, and phase three is Programming Your Mind with new thoughts, beliefs and habits that serve your well-being and success.
Mindfulness is all about being present in the here and now. When your attention is focused in present moment, you are not experiencing regret about the past, nor worrying about the future.
And that, my friend, is the path to inner peace!
So join me to learn some easy mindfulness techniques, and more importantly, improve your life on all levels!

Have you ever sat down in meditation, and tried to clear your mind, or to focus on your breath, and instead noticed a barrage of thoughts that rise unbidden in your mind to bedevil you and destroy your moment of peace?
And maybe you’ve observed the contents of your thoughts, and gone, “Holy cow, where did these come from?!”
Well, you are not alone! This happened to me when I first started meditating. I was appalled with what I discovered going on in there!
Like the 1950s housewife in my head who frequently popped up with totally outdated advice and judgments. I’ll leave you to surmise where she came from!
I remember being at work one day, and catching a judgmental thought about a customer going through my head, and realising that it was not my thought! And I knew exactly whose thought it was!
The good news is that you do not have to be at the mercy of your thoughts.
In this week's Sort Yourself Out Podcast, we discuss where your thoughts came from and how you can reprogram your mind with new thoughts and beliefs that serve you.

Have you ever had questions about the big issues and the deeper meaning of life, like who are we, why are we here, and where the *&#* is it all leading?
Then join me for this week's Sort Yourself Out Podcast, where we’re talking about one of my favourite topics, the Ageless Wisdom teachings, an entire cosmology that is likely the most advanced teaching available to mankind, about life, the universe, and everything!
The Ageless Wisdom blew my mind when I first came across it. I was desperately seeking answers to the bigger questions of life, searching everywhere and yet ultimately unsatisfied and unconvinced of the truth of the material I was finding.
Until I discovered the Ageless Wisdom teachings, that is! I heaved a sigh of relief: At last, profound information I can trust. Aaaaah...
Also known as Esoteric Philosophy, the Ancient Wisdom, or the Perennial Philosophy, the Ageless Wisdom is a body of teachings that underlies all of the world’s spiritual traditions.
It’s called "ageless" because it has been handed down across the ages at a level suitable to the unfolding intelligence and consciousness of humanity.
These are the teachings for a mature spirituality, free of distortions, misinterpretations and dogma, undiluted by contemporary trends or the culture of any particular period in human history.
Why a mature spirituality? Because the Ageless Wisdom is scientific in nature - as a student you are asked to put the teachings to the test in daily life, and to learn their value for yourself. As such they become practical wisdom garnered from direct experience, and you attain proof of their validity. No blind faith required!
So please join me this week as I delve deeper into the Ageless Wisdom teachings, and share some of the core concepts of this fascinating body of work.

This week’s episode is all about freedom and letting go.
I bet you have some personal frustrations or pet peeves that cause you to react with a heartfelt rant. You get triggered, and then you let rip!
And then you think, why do I do this to myself?! This does me no good whatsoever!
Here’s an example from my life: I am prone to road rage! I used to be driving to work in the morning, always short on time, and somebody would turn out in front of me and then drive at a snail’s pace.
That would send me off on one! Let the ranting begin! I would descend into this inner (and sometimes outer!) rant, about how inconsiderate that person was, there was no one behind me, they could’ve waited, blah blah blah.
Then I’d get behind a tractor and off I’d go again!
Now I am not proud of this propensity, and it didn’t make for a great start to my work day! So one day, I caught myself as I was about to launch on a rant, and thought, “Why am I doing this to myself?” It’s not as if the other drivers are even hearing my message. Also, I wouldn’t want them to hear it, as it’s embarrassing and something I don’t like about myself. I don’t want them to witness my shame and spew vitriol on other people. NO!
So I decided to let it go! And WOW, what a revelation! My car became my therapy room, a space to repeatedly re-mind and liberate myself.
Driving became a pleasure, as I got to revel in my new-found freedom!
So this week it’s all about freeing ourselves from those annoyances that pop up repeatedly in our lives and that we allow to consume us.
So pick some frustration or pet peeve, and let's bring it into your own personal therapy room, so you can let it go, and live a more peaceful and joyful life.

This week we’re discussing the meat and potatoes of life. Or in my case the potatoes and potatoes of life! How to fully happily inhabit who you are and feel great in your own skin.
We’re always striving to improve ourselves and our lives. Inherent in that is the notion that we’re not happy with where we are at. That the status quo is inadequate. That we want more.
I think this is especially so for people who are interested in personal development and spiritual growth. But we don’t want to be living in a constant state of dissatisfaction and impatience for attaining that next level, or acquiring that thing!
We need to feel joy and satisfaction in the process and journey of living our lives, and in the expansion that unfolds.
So tune in to discover my tips to feel great about yourself as you happily inhabit who you are: your own, remarkable, unique self.

Do you ever feel like you're stuck in Groundhog Day, with the same tired old issues cropping up again and again, stopping you from achieving greater success or well-being?
You can get some relief on this week's Sort Yourself Out podcast, as we’re discussing How To Get Unstuck And Break Through To Success And Well-Being.
We all have moments when we feel totally stuck. Sometimes it’s an emotion we can’t get past, or a situation we just can't seem to get out of.
Other times it’s a deep habit or pattern that keeps rearing its ugly head, preventing us from making those breakthroughs to greater success or well-being.
Whatever the issue, when we indulge in emotions like blame, shame, guilt and unwillingness to forgive others, we are lowering our vibration to the lowest levels of consciousness in the realm of human experience, and ultimately keeping ourselves stuck.
And this, as you can imagine, does not lead to well-being! These are the kind of toxic emotions that can eventually manifest as illness in the physical body. No thank you!
So this week on the podcast we’re looking at a number of practical ways to help you clear out the toxic emotions, ditch the self-sabotage, get out of your own way and clear the path for success and greater well-being.

Have you ever wanted to make a difference in the world, felt called to make the world a better place?
Then check out this week's podcast, where we're discussing how one wee human can change the world.
Many of us feel so powerless, especially today in the face of the world crisis we’re all living through.
But remember, even the small changes we make to improve our own lives have a beneficial knock-on effect on those around us.
As I’m always saying, our own well-being radiates out and uplifts everyone we contact.
But our real power lies in our collective power as a group. Margaret Mead said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
Individually, we are more powerful than we know.
And together.... WOW!
So how can you make a difference in the world?
You can start by tuning in to this week's episode!

Have you ever heard that listening to certain music can make you smarter, or help you to study and learn faster? Or that it aids mental development?
While this may sound fanciful, it will certainly come as no surprise to you that music can have a profound effect on your mood and well-being. Like when you hear a favourite song, it instantly lifts you up and brings you joy. You might want to jump up and dance, or it might spark a memory of being in a specific time and place with specific people. Isn’t it amazing how music does that?
I don’t know for sure if music can make you smarter, but I do know that music, a certain type of music that I'd thought I didn't even like, had a powerful effect in healing my life many years ago.

So tell me, have you got voices in your head? Maybe there’s someone in there telling you you’re not good enough, you’ll never be able to do that, your butt looks huge in that, who do you think you are to be... blah blah blah!
Sound familiar? We’ve all got this voice in our head, unless we’ve done a lot of work to silence it.
Sometimes we’re aware of what the inner critic is saying, because we hear it all the time. And sometimes, even more insidiously, we have programming going on that is unconscious.
We may not be aware of a specific message, but this subconscious conditioning can erode our self-esteem and hinder us from going for the things we want, or succeeding, or even being happy.
Either way, conscious or unconscious, we need to become aware of the self-talk that is going on, or it will sabotage us for the rest of our days!
So today we’re looking at how we can free ourselves of this inner critic and get some relief!
