Mental health issues doesn't look the same for everyone. For some of us it starts at childhood and for others it starts later in life. Sometimes we don't even know we are dealing with something - it just feels like that is how we always were - and often when we look for support or help - we are told so many different things. A lot of times we might not even know if we need professional help or should take medication.

In this episode, Carleigh talks about her journey with various different mental health issues - and how she was able to overcome them through natural methods. The entire motherhood journey can be daunting and scary. There is so much information out there that women are inundated with and it can be very overwhelming. At the same time - there is a notion that a women should plan everything out and when things go in another direction - this can arise a lot of emotions, thoughts and whole bunch of energies. We talk about the journey of surrendering in motherhood and also Michelle's birth story for her 4 children and how she navigated through them with the power of surrendering.

We go through life thinking that we have to do things, we can't say much, and we just have to suffer in silence. It's just part of women-hood. But is this really true? A few days ago, I had a heavy feeling in my chest and I needed to unpack this so I started recording a voice journal - and I didn't realize how much I had to say about this topic. As women, for generations, we have suffered in silence or been told "just deal with it.." "stop being sensitive.." and this gush of guilt comes in us as if we are "too much if we speak up.." But it's time to end this in our society - it's time for us to really use our voice to end this generational trauma and shift to a new paradigm. Why can't you say what you are feeling? Why do you have to deal with things in silence? Why can't you find support? Listen in as I unpack where this started from, the imbalance, and the viewpoint of spirituality on all of this. I recently shared my fertility journey on another podcast - Soulful IVF with Lisa White - where I dived into a little bit about IVF and the journey thus after. In this podcast, I start from the very beginning - 8 years ago when I had the first desire to become a mother, to be pregnant and carry my child to birth. This episode is raw - I really share all the details - feelings, thoughts etc that I had, overcame and really what led me to finally being pregnant.
