This week on #SoulPalate, Kapri and Dee are tasting a line-up from Tipxy and a special mezcal from Hotaling Co. Tipxy is an online spirits shop with goals to be the largest spirits retailer in the world. As they sip, the ladies catch up on Tales of the Cocktail vibes and gear up for Dee’s upcoming birthday! The two get wrapped in the beautifully written show “P-Valley” which turned into “Wit it or Nah?!” the P-Valley edition. For a Soul Palate first the ladies taste wine with their good friend and wine professional, Erica Christian. The group tastes through a variety of rose and red wines. The ladies get into the growing presence of ballroom culture in the media, and Kapri and Erica assert that house music never needed the “resurrection” that it’s being said to have. During “Wit It or Nah,” the group gets into a reflective conversation about what the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade truly means to them personally, and for women all over. Dee has more kickstarter questions for our guest, where the ladies debate the burning question “to share food, or not to share food?” The episode closes out with their “Where We Eatin” segment, where the ladies recommend RPM and Maiz 64, right here in DC.
