  • The Cancer Revolution with Dr. Leigh Connealy | Ep. 17

    We're back with a highly important interview all about the Cancer Revolution with Dr. Connealy. Leigh Erin Connealy, M.D. is a prominent leader in the Integrative/Functional Medicine medical field (taking the bestof all sciences, including Homeopathic and Conventional treatments). She is the Medical Director of two amazing clinics: "The Cancer Center For Healing" and "Center For New Medicine". The combined (30,000 S.F.) clinics have become the largest Integrative Medical Clinic in North America, and visited by patients from all over the world with 47,000 patients and growing. The Center For New Medicine focuses on prevention and internal medicine along with, yearly physicals, auto-immune disease, natural hormone replacement, chronic issues and everyone's favorite Aesthetics. Dr. Connealy feels we must treat "the Whole person", the patient with the disease and not the disease of the patient, while determining the "origin of the illness".

    Dr. Connealy is the author of two books, "The Cancer Revolution" published in 2017, and prior to that the "Be Perfectly Healthy" book in 2009, and has revolutionized the landscape of medicine. In 2017, she was named one of the top 50 functional integrative doctors in the country. Dr. Connealy has over 30 years of experience and has taken numerous advanced courses, including homeopathic, nutritional and lifestyle approaches, while studying disease, chronic illness, and Alternative or Integrative/Functional Medicine cancer treatments.

    Needless to say, mark this one as an absolute "can't-miss" episode and tune in as Dr. Connealy shares about how the US is the world leader of chronic disease and yet the power we have to fight back against disease, namely cancer. "The key to any illness is prevention," Dr. Connealy says. "From one cancer cell to tumor is about 10 years. So that means we have 8-9 years of opportunity to prevent it; to detect it." Dr. Connealy also discusses the role of Vitamin D, and the rise of cancer amongst the 25-35 year old population in America due to lifestyle factors that can be changed.

  • "I'm Fine" is NOT Fine with Sam Webb | Ep. 13

    In this episode of Single Soul Purpose, we get the honor of learning about mental wellness and the hidden dangers of "smiling depression" from Sam Webb. Sam is well known in Australia for his appearances on TV. Most people will recognize Sam as an actor on Neighbours or for his appearance on Australian Survivor. A graduate of Sydney's drama school, Screenwise, Sam has also received credit for his work as a host on Nine's Great Escapes and his work on the feature film documentary, Suicide: The Ripple Effect which premiered in Los Angeles, in March 2018. Sam has received notable recognition for his work in co-founding the mental health organisation and charity, LIVIN after the death of his good friend to suicide. The core of their mission is to break the stigma around mental health through education, fashion and community. Since inception, LIVIN have delivered their program to over 55,000 young people in schools around the country. Sam's latest project will be the expansion of LIVIN to the USA alongside pursuing his acting ambitions in 2019.

    Today we're bringing you an interview with Taylor Conroy all about empathy--aka, "a more digestible way of saying oneness--a deep knowing that we're all one." -Taylor Conroy. Taylor is a meditating surfer obsessed with building businesses that make change. His first social enterprise was 'Change Heroes', a fundraising platform that mobilized 15,000 people from 80 countries around the world to to fund 400 schools, water projects, libraries, girls scholarships, and more for 200,000 people.

    Taylor has lectured at Harvard, Princeton, NYU, Cornell, and the United Nations. He regularly presents for corporate clients like Disney, Pfizer, and Lululemon, at social good events with over 10,000 people, and at private dinners and galas. Taylor has studied with Zen monks in Japan, run with the bulls in Spain, explored every continent on earth including Antarctica, surfed the longest wave in the world in Peru, and filmed mini documentaries in Nicaragua, Cambodia, Kenya, and Uganda.

    He also co-founded an impact travel company, called Journey, that combined building homes for families living in underserved communities with yoga, surf, and adventure to create deeply meaningful and "empathy expanding" travel experiences. Journey brought 600+ people on trips to Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala, building 150 homes that now house over 1000 people.

    Taylor currently lives in Southern California and spends his time speaking internationally, writing his first book, and leading his most recent venture, 'The Idea Collective', a thought-leadership accelerator focussed on bringing high-impact ideas into the world through public speaking. The Idea Collective specializes in landing clients TEDx talks and other highly sought-after speaking platforms.
