What is up and welcome back to the Soul Seeker Podcast. In this episode, we're going to get deep into the brain and psychedelics. We explore the profound effects of psychedelics on the brain, touching on topics like neurochemistry and neuroplasticity. This journey for me started back in 2019 with my experiences with ayahuasca and plant medicine, which catapulted my thirst for deeper, meaningful conversations. One consistent practice that has significantly impacted my mental health in the past year is cold immersion therapy, which ties into the themes of surrender and acceptance that I often discuss.
Our guest, Jonathan Negus, is a nurse practitioner specializing in neurosurgery with nearly 30 years of experience. He’s also a guest lecturer at UCLA, bringing a wealth of knowledge about the brain and its interaction with psychedelics. You’re going to get so much out of this episode. Enjoy, and I’ll see you on the other side.

Hey there and welcome back to another episode of the Soul Seekr Podcast. In this episode, we're diving deep into cold therapy, cold immersion, and the concept of surrendering. One of the most impactful activities I've consistently engaged in over the past year is cold immersion. Whether through cold plunges at the gym or ocean plunges here in Santa Cruz, California, cold therapy has been instrumental for my mental health. It has taught me about resistance and how to surrender more deeply. Beyond the mental benefits, the physical benefits are also significant.
Today, I'm excited to introduce my guest, Grant Dziak. He's a performance coach and a former football player at Ohio State. We'll explore cold immersion, regulating the nervous system, reprogramming subconscious limiting beliefs, and much more.
