Beauty 4 Ashes Letters to the Heart, Mind, & Spirit
One of my favorite passages of scripture in the New Testament takes place right after one of the most infamous miracles has been witnessed. If you guessed the feeding of the multitude, you're right. Shortly after that, another popular tale of the miraculous takes place, Peter walks on water. The Bible is full of these wonderous demonstrations of God's infinite and Divine power and authority, but I'm certain there's one that isn't as familiar, my story. Last week I shared 7 points of how we as Christians can cultivate a sound mind. This week's soul focus will continue that teaching with The Miraculous Healing of Ajhae Small. Keep listening!

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
This biblical scripture has become a refrain for every child of God, see if you can recite it with me. But what does that mean and more importantly, how do we live that scripture on a day-to-day basis? In 2002 Joyce Meyer wrote a book titled, " The Battlefield of the Mind". I haven't read it but I most certainly have experience fighting in that war zone. However, things such as fear, doubt, worry, envy, confusion, and the like arent' Christ-like attributes. In fact, they go against our nature as children of God. Today's soul focus is on how to cultivate a sound mind. Keep listening!

Today will conclude our discussion on purpose. Over the past few weeks, we've learned that God has placed Divine purpose in all of us and desires for us to fulfill that destiny within our lifetime. During discussions 1 & two we attempted to unravel the DNA of purpose by detailing how to identify and connect with our individual purposes. Today we'll learn 5 principles that will help us actualize this heavenly mandate in our everyday lives.

We’ve all been there at some point in our lives. That place that causes us to ask internally how did I end up here again? There are healthy patterns of behavior that can produce fruitful harvests in our lives spiritually financially and emotionally, but there are also patterns of destructive behaviors that leave us feeling abandoned confused disconnected from God, and undervalued. These self-defeating choices that we make can be as small as not eating the right foods or deeper more dangerous habits that can hinder our spiritual growth as well as the growth of others. Today I'm going to share the 7 strategies that have served me on the pathway to finding wholeness in Christ Jesus.
Romance. Some of us are in denial while others of us fully embrace the romantic notions that reside in our hearts. Many of us as Christians have a negative outlook when it comes to hearing or saying NO. Mainly because attached to the word are feelings of fear and rejection. By denying someone else our knowledge, time, or a helping hand, we feel like bad Christians. And while we are taught to esteem our brothers and sisters in Christ higher than ourselves finding balance are just as important. Ministry burnout is real and if we don't learn the art of what my daughter refers to as a "heavenly" no, we'll find ourselves turning away from the things that once brought us joy, peace, and a sense of purpose.
