’Tis the season for all things spooky! Here are some more ghost stories, shared by my friend Kelly Baker Henderson. She recounts her experiences growing up, revealing both chilling encounters and moments of peace that hint at something beyond this life. From truly scary moments to gentle visits where it felt like someone was just saying hello, Kelly’s stories are sure to captivate you—especially during this time of year when the spooky seems to come alive. Enjoy!
In this episode, I share my experience touring Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. Our guide was George Wyatt Jr., a former inmate who was sentenced for blowing up the Lake Tanasi Country Club. Along with housing high-profile inmates, the prison has seen a lot of death, and the energy there is intense, known for its paranormal activity.
Sharing ghost stories is important because it taps into a collective curiosity about the unknown, helping us process fear and mystery in a safe and communal way. These stories remind us that we’re not alone in experiencing things that can’t easily be explained. By telling and hearing these tales, we feel less isolated and more validated, as others share similar strange or supernatural encounters. This sense of connection can reduce feelings of self-doubt or "craziness," offering comfort in the idea that many people question or experience things beyond the rational world. Enjoy!

In today's episode you'll meet my friend Kasse & hear her inspiring stories on the crossroads she's faced throughout her life. Crossroads are pivotal moments in life where a person must make significant decisions that can shape their future. These moments often arise when we're faced with uncertainty, change, or growth, requiring us to choose a new direction. At these junctures, we may encounter people or situations that deeply impact us, either for a season, a reason, or a lifetime.
Some individuals come into our lives temporarily, serving as catalysts for change or offering valuable lessons. Others stay longer, providing guidance or companionship as we navigate specific phases of our journey. Rare, but powerful, are those who remain for a lifetime, becoming integral to our growth and evolution. Kasse's story shares all of these & more. Enjoy!
We are all unique in ways that go far beyond just our fingerprints. Each of us is born with special gifts, talents, and perspectives that no one else can replicate. These unique qualities are what make us valuable to the world. Tapping into them means embracing who we truly are and exploring the things that bring us joy, fulfillment, and purpose. When we honor our uniqueness and cultivate our gifts, we not only enrich our own lives but also contribute to the greater good. By recognizing that no one else can offer what we can, we empower ourselves to make a meaningful impact on the world.

I've received several messages about last week's episode, and it seems to have really resonated with many of you. It focused on the importance of showing up when you feel that inner nudge—however that might look. In this episode, I dive even deeper into that concept, exploring why showing up for yourself is just as crucial. I also share some personal realizations and talk about how I decided to take last weekend for myself, which turned out to be exactly what I needed!
Today's episode focuses on the importance of showing up. You know that feeling when you sense you need to be somewhere, even though you can list a million reasons why you shouldn’t go? Others may also chime in, giving you more reasons to stay away. But when that internal nudge persists, it’s crucial to cancel plans, reschedule appointments, take the drive or flight, and show the eff up. You never know the impact it could have—not just on their lives, but on yours as well!
In this episode, I have the pleasure of speaking with Cynthia George. Cynthia shares her inspiring life story, detailing how she and her husband, Shawn, relied on their faith to make bold decisions. They took a leap of faith and moved to the Caribbean, where they lived for over half a decade, transforming a failing business into a thriving one. Answering the call to move to Alaska, they are now in the process of starting up two new businesses. Cynthia's journey is a beautiful reminder to trust your inner voice, dream big, and embrace adventure. As she says, once you take the leap, “burn the boat”! Enjoy!

In this episode, my guest Kristi Odom—a wife, mother, assistant teacher, and snake bite survivor—shares her experiences of enduring consecutive setbacks in life. She talks about thinking she was pregnant, with some suspecting twins due to her rapid growth, only to discover at four months that she had a molar pregnancy, which is very rare, especially in the US. Shortly after, she was bitten by a copperhead snake, received inadequate treatment, and felt as though she might not survive. Despite these challenges, Kristi maintains a positive outlook and believes she is here only by the grace of God.
