Inspirational Speaker Johanness Atlas did not let his disability stand in the way of gifts.
In this interview, he talks about how he has been treated as a person living with Poland’s syndrome, a disorder in which affected individuals are born with missing or underdeveloped muscles on one side of the body, resulting in abnormalities that can affect the chest, shoulder, arm, and hand.
For the past several years, people of all ages have been inspired, motivated, educated, and entertained by his “CAN DO” attitude.

Sherrill Mosee, inventor and designer of MinkeeBlue, set out to solve a problem she calls the “overload bag syndrome.” Like many women, Mosee carried two or three bags to work—a purse, laptop bag, lunch bag and sometimes shoes in a plastic grocery bag in her purse. She wanted to create an organizational fashion bag for busy women whose role changed throughout the day—from executive to fitness enthusiast, daily commuter and mom.
Mosee is the former president of Family Care Solutions, a nonprofit organization she founded to promote higher education among low-income women with children. The organization awarded over $3 million in childcare scholarships to help women with children stay in school and earn a college degree. An electrical engineer by profession, Mosee, designed the compartmented bag with a patented folding panel inside to separate items in the bag.
MinkeeBlue organizational travel and work bags have been featured on the Today Show, the Katie Couric Show and QVC.com. Mosee describes MinkeeBlue as a reflection of “who we are” and “what we do” in our daily lives: “Your day is in the Bag.”

From out of the realities of abandonment by her biological mother, being bi-racial, and growing up in a Black home, Katara McCarty realized early in life that the color of her skin mattered. After becoming a single mother at 19 and finding the courage to leave an abusive relationship, Katara became an entrepreneur holding leadership positions in both non and for-profit organizations.
Katara sat down with me to discuss her new app, EXHALE, the first emotional well-being app for Black Women.
