On Episode 31 of Sounds Like NYC, I got to sit down with Eric "KNGFSHSLM" Williams, a Beatmaker/writer/engineer right out of NYC!

KNGFSHSLM is a greatly talented engineer with 5 of experience. He first got his feet wet in music by DJ'ing.

Working from his small studio in his home, he's been featured on a gospel track and many other works. He mainly works with independent artists, for free, but (like most producers) he doesn't like people who don't come prepared.

February 26, 2019 Sounds Like NYC Ep. #030⎜Anik Dufresne
On Episode 30 of Sounds Like NYC, I got to sit down with Anik Dufresne, a bassist coming out of Canada and living in NYC!

Anik Dufresne aka Riot Girl was born and raised in Montreal Canada! Ageless and fearless, Anik loves to play live and learn about NYC and its music scene (having only moved here since 2015). Writing songs in both English and French has helped Anik play with many bands of all genres (metal, indie/pop/rock alternative), both originals and covers.

Anik has had a few all-girl bands and played at many venues including The Bovine Sex Club in Toronto and many local bars in Montreal, New York, and New Jersey.

"I don't care if I'd play bass for a band or solo artist already established since I consider myself more of a bass player than a singer but to do both and succeed with my own songs would be a dream come true."

February 23, 2019 Sounds Like NYC Ep. #029⎜Michael Gutkowski
On Episode 29 of Sounds Like NYC, I got to sit down with Michael Gutkowski, a screenwriter coming out of Long Island.

Micahel started working in film in 2003, after learning what he could by being in the field, he went to college to study film in 2015 and graduated in 2017.
Michael is currently working on three new projects and polishing up two older ones to shop.

Michael also does voice over training.

On Episode 28 of Sounds Like NYC, I got to sit down with Fareal Di Realest, a reggae dancehall artist, podcast host, based in NYC.

After growing up with reggae his entire life, he decided to try his hand at making music. Starting off "clashing" with his friends, Fareal quickly grew to be known as the musician in his friend group.

His passion along with some connections to the music industry gave Fareal the right footing in order to be the success he is today.

Fareal also has a diverse band, Di Realist Band.

February 15, 2019 Sounds Like NYC Ep. #027⎜Black Suit Youth
On Episode 27 of Sounds Like NYC, I got to sit down with Black Suit Youth, a rock n' roll band out of Long Island, NY.

"Black Suit Youth is a high energy, alternative/ post-punk rock band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2004 under the original name The New York Dynamite, the band recorded their debut EP with burgeoning producer Tomas Costanza (Diffuser, Band Camp, Disney artists). The “Dynamite” spent the next two years touring the East Coast and Mid-West incessantly in support of the ep. Months on the road transformed the band into a cohesive unit and a punishing live act. While on tour and at home they sold over 1,000 copies of their debut CD-R EP.

The year 2007 brought with it a name change and a new album. In summer 2007, the band, now called Black Suit Youth, released "Our Future is History". The record featured six explosive new tracks spliced with the former six-song EP. The album was released on ITUNES on November 13th. Black Suit Youth booked a late summer tour to support the record. They stormed venues from Boston to Chicago, making fans, making friends and selling trunks full of BSY merchandise along the way.

On Episode 24 of Sounds Like NYC, I got to sit down with Manola Talbert, an all-around artist!

Manola Talbert was born in Jamaica and moved to the United States at 5 years old, growing up in Washington DC. At the age of 18, Manola moved to NYC to become a professional entertainer, to the point where he was dancing and choreographing professionally with rapper Lil Bow wow and singer Mya.

Today Manola Talbert is a signed artist, Manola G.Talberts recording album "The boy who... wore blue!!!

Manola is dedicated to helping kids who are bullied in school around the world, the song Fall back, music video on YouTube. You can currently see Manola in tv shows such as Law & Order: SVU (season 15 ep. 24) Orange is the new black (season 2 ep. 2).

Manola has also modeled professionally For NYC Fashion week and for DKNY.
